P.S. No, I mean it! I know you aren't used to that these days but I do. Why do I hate you? Hmmmm.....well you make me care about your characters. You make me care and you make me love them and then....then you fuck them up. You start off all original and come to the TV with fresh ideas. You even bring out a crazy new way to keep the main couple apart (who else has ever tried a secret wife?). But then...just when we think you are going to be really new and original and maybe just maybe keep that main couple together for longer than five seconds...then you turn into every other TV show in America. Seriously! He's seriously going to hit on another girl in the bar! SERIOUSLY! SERIOUSLY! Do you really think we'll go for that crap? I mean if he chose Mer over his freaking wife that people actually like I'm pretty sure having him hook up with a skanky whore in a bar is not going to go over. SERIOUSLY! SERIOUSLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You do realize that you have something that no one else in the history of the world has right. You have two people with such amazing chemistry together that they would probably make clipping each others toe nails look hot! AND what do you do with them? You do the only thing that could possibly make that chemistry suck....you never show them together on screen for more than five seconds! Pictures of Patrick and Ellen walking to a van are hotter than your stupid tv show! What? Are you afraid we are going to like them even more? Are you afraid the show will get too successful? Are you trying to sabatage the show?
I think so, because all I ever get to see on this show is stupid Izzie and George. I could give a freaking rats ass about George and Izzie. There I said it. George and Izzie can jump off a freaking bridge together for all I care. George and Izzie can have sex all day long and I would not care! There are like five people that watch this show for George and Izzie and the other 20+ million of us are freaking pissed right now. No one cares about Izzie and George. If you love them so much then give them their own spinoff so that the five people can watch so it can get cancelled and you can finally understand that Izzie and George suck and are boring. And why are you so unoriginal that you have to steal from your own freaking show? I've seen the elevator scene between George and Izzie. I saw it last season right down to the "I can't." I saw it then and I don't need to see it now. George and Izzie and Callie are not Mer/Der/Addison. I am not even remotely as interested in this as I was then. It tried my patience then but I cared about the characters. It just annoys the hell out of me now and makes me want to change the channel.
What I and the rest of America care about is Mer and Derek. Someone on TV needs to cowboy up and stop bringing couples together just to rip them apart. Its old, its tired and seriously its unoriginal. Ditto on Christina and Burke. Together or apart make up your mind and stop with the stupidity. I care about Christina and her opening up. I care about Alex and why he can't let himself open up to a woman. I care about Mark and Derek becoming friends again. I care about Mer and her getting a mom that actually cares about her and her rebuilding things with her dad.....oh wait you Fucked that one up too didn't you. Seriously why don't you just run Mer over with a truck and put her out of her misery because at the rate you are going on this show she'll be a barren, quadrapalegic with no tongue by the time the show is over. Plus, it will just be her because you'll have to kill everyone else off to create "drama."
And now for the last straw. I care about Addison. I secretly have loved her all along. She's bossy and funny and very neurotic. I wish I was Addison sometimes. But...I may not watch the new show. Yes, tonight was amazing. It was a great pilot and if there was no history, I would be all over that show come fall. But why will I maybe not watch? Cause that new show will be great...it will have a great first season. It will suck me in and then...then you'll start killing Addison's friends and family off and then you'll drop her off the side of the Santa Monica pier. And it will come out that she never got a divorce and her secret husband will show up!
Shonda and Co. Please for the love of god. STOP FUCKING UP MY SHOW!
Just fix it. You have two episodes left to undo the sucking. Sure you can't unkill Susan....but you can make Meredith go after Derek and let him in for real this time. You can have Mer's dad apologize for hitting her (don't get me started on the hitting or the Derek not kicking dad's ass for the hitting). You can make Derek tell "McSkanky girl in bar #1" that he has a girlfriend and that he loves her and that she can take her skank elsewhere. You can stop with the sad emo Derek and have him be a man and have him try to get through to Mer. Hell, I would love for them to yell at each other at this point. Yelling is in face needed at this point. And you can send Callie with Addison to California and let George and Izzie run away to anywhere but Seattle and get them off my TV screen. And you can learn from your mistakes and not fuck up the new show and make me have faith in you again so that I will want to watch the new show. That I will want to watch for both hot scenes in elevators on Grey's and hot scenes in stairwells on Addison's.
Please, please help me to not hate you anymore.
P.P.S Oh and Shonda...if you think that what your fans think doesn't matter? If you think you can break the main couple up after you get them together and the show can survive....Go ask the people that work on Gilmore Girls about what happens when you do that. Oh, wait...people stopped watching that show and as of today, Gilmore Girls is cancelled.
